The new Allegri headquarters has been created in a service tower at the center of the former Riva-Calzoni steel mill in Milan.
Taking the industrial character of the construction as a starting point, and acknowledging the quality of the existent architecture, Studio Bello Dias has developed a space of great impact, gathered around a large full-height atrium in which the compositional procedure emerges in an explicit but controlled way, in a complex of new signs, inventions and materials that establish a dialectic relationship with certain “icons” of the history of the building.
The new figures of the slightly inclined slender cylindrical pillars are combined with luminous ceilings featuring large quadrangular portions that reflect on the seating and the mirrored display platforms on the ground floor. Everything has been custom designed by the Studio.
