In the year in which SaloneSatellite marked its 25th anniversary, SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection 1998-2024 Exhibition presents, at the request of IDFFHK International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong, a selection of more than 100 design pieces from the SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection.
Founded in 1998 SaloneSatellite is an event promoted by Salone del Mobile.Milano to help and assist young designers from all over the world starting their career. Thanks to its winning formula – the union between the world of creativity and international furniture industry – it remains the first and unique showcase of young creativity. As evidence of this, there is a continuous yearly growth of requests from international designers under 35 years old, who consider SaloneSatellite a great opportunity to express their creativity in Milan during Salone del Mobile.Milano, that more than elsewhere finds its centre.
This consolidated formula confirms to be a showcase for young designers starting their career, but also for International Design Schools and Universities to bring along a selection of their graduates-to-be students. An opportunity for mutual creative confrontation among Schools and with the international audience of the event.
The Permanent Collection contains a selection of around 400 products, presented over the years since the first edition of SaloneSatellite.
It has found a “home” in 2018 at the Artwood Academy in Lentate sul Seveso, near Milan.
From 1998 to 2024 SaloneSatellite young designers participations have been more than 14,000 from 58 Countries from around the world. Today SaloneSatellite has a very long list of these participants that, starting their career in these 25 years, are worldwide known with design pieces in several catalogues of international companies as well as exhibited in numerous exhibitions and magazines publications.
